TikTok Creator Hilariously Remakes ‘Gold Digger’ as Kim Kardashian

Like it or not, Kanye West’s 2005 hit Gold digger featuring actor and singer Jamie Foxx, is arguably some of the rapper’s finest work.

Gold digger – from West’s second studio album, Late check-in – was the rapper’s first No. 1 single as a lead artist.

Now a new parody of Gold digger appeared on TikTok.

American designer, @Tiktokbrownchick, real name Shuba, is well known on the short video app for her impressions of various artists, from Celine Dion to Eminem.

Shuba has 5.7 million followers and credits her often flawless impersonations to her Indian immigrant mother who exposed her to Hollywood and Indian music from the age of three.

In her latest creation, Shuba aka @Tiktokbrownchick poses as reality TV mogul and businesswoman Kim Kardashian, (if Kardashian could actually wear a note) singing her ex-husband’s 2005 hit Gold digger.

@tiktokbrownchick Nah but I want to be her right now???? #rap #sing #fyp ♬ original sound – Shuba

Shuba’s witty and hilarious take on West’s classic also impressively sums up Kardashian’s rise to fame in 49 seconds.

Plus, with a net worth of $1.8 billion in her own right, Kardashian can easily afford a luxurious lifestyle and take care of her four children without asking a man she’s dating for help.

Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021 and saw comedian Pete Davidson, whose net worth is reportedly just $1 billion less than his bootylicious girlfriend.

Gold Digger Facts You Probably Didn’t Know

few people know Gold digger was also the first No. 1 hit of its kind for Ray Charles.

The song samples Charles’ 1954 hit I have a wifewhich was a hit on the R&B charts but did not reach No. 1 overall.

Charles received writing credit for Gold digger, and therefore had the honor of having a song he co-wrote in mind Top 100 Billboards – more than a year after his death, no less.
